Transporter brokers or freight brokers work to see the freight reaches safely from the place where it starts to the place it is supposed to reach. They may ship the goods either through air, sea, or land route depending on the urgency and need of clients. They take information about goods to be shipped, and select the best shipping company to deliver it safely and in time. They also track the movement of goods through a computerized system and coordinate the entire logistics activities for moving goods from one place to another.

To apply for a transportation broker job, a high school diploma is a minimum requirement. Previous experience as a freight agent will also help in securing the job. Further, the person must be capable of recording details of goods to be shipped, and coordinate pick-ups and deliveries of shipment.
