There are lots of formalities in importing and exporting goods and commodities. Each country has specific laws in sending and receiving merchandise to and from foreign countries. These merchandises are usually sent by air or through water. Since a great deal of inspection and restriction are involved in the process, shipping companies hire customs brokers. These brokers serve as a link between importer, exporter and the government agencies. They may hold expertise in clothing, food, or may work to authorize or approve the list of contents and number of crew in a cargo ship.
To apply for this position, let your resume show that you can prepare documents necessary for sending goods to the desired locations by following the guidelines. The resume must also communicate your knowledge on the import and export prerequisites. There are many other things the employer wants to look at. This sample resume will make it clear for you.
